Audio “E Trails” – Audio trails to listen to as you walk

The podcast of the Annestown Heritage Trail will guide you around a section of the Copper Coast Global Geopark introducing you to its rich heritage and geology. The walk starting at Annestown beach will take in Annestown village and then take a looped route around the Anne Valley past Dunhill Castle, finishing back at the beach. Further information about the Geopark is available at the Copper Coast Geopark Visitor Centre at Bunmahon which is to the west along the coast road.

You can also download the written version of the Annestown Audio Heritage Trail here  Annestown Heritage ETrail from Battles to Tranquility

This was created as part of Metal Links  and the Hercules Project.

Note that MP3 files are quite large and may take a long time to download, especially with a slow connection. It is best to download them over a WiFi connection.

The Anne Valley Walk
Starting in the village of Dunhill this walk follows the Anne River, meandering through forest and marshland on a specially constructed gravel path on the way to Dunhill Castle, passing many beautiful ponds which are home to a wide range of flora and fauna, including protected species. There are fine views throughout, including of the castle.
A spectacular walk and amazing example of community co-operation. You can find more information about the walk here https://www.irishtrails.ie/Trail/Anne-Valley-Walk/687/

About Copper Coast Geopark

The Copper Coast Geopark is in Co. Waterford, Ireland and is an outdoor museum of geological records; it stretches along the coast from Kilfarassy Beach, near Fenor in the east to Ballyvoile Beach near Stradbally to the west. Volcanoes, oceans, deserts and ice sheets all combined to create the rocks which provide the physical foundation of the natural and cultural landscapes of the area. Follow the self-guided "Copper Coast" trail and walking cards available from the The Copper Coast Geopark Centre in Bunmahon.

Please respect our Geology and Nature; leave them with us, take just memories away.
