Join us for our Bunmahon Community Biodiversity Action Plan Open Day at the Copper Coast Geopark Visitor Centre.

This project focuses on part of the Bunmahon area. Come along to learn more, meet the ecologist, and find out how you can get involved.

The event is an opportunity to ask questions, share local knowledge, and help shape future biodiversity actions in the area.

🌱Garden Swap & Share Event

Join us for our Garden Swap & Share event in the Geological Garden, Bunmahon.

Bring along seeds, plants, seedlings, cuttings, gardening books, pots, or gardening tips to swap and share with others in the community.

There will also be a pea planting demonstration, where visitors can learn simple planting techniques and pick up seasonal growing advice.

The event is a great opportunity to meet local gardeners, exchange ideas, support biodiversity-friendly gardening, and enjoy a relaxed community atmosphere.

Join us for Why Mining Matters, a talk exploring minerals, mineral exploration, and rare earth elements with the Head of the Minerals Programme at Geological Survey Ireland and an experienced mineral exploration geologist.

This talk will provide an insight into where the materials we use every day come from, how they reach us, and the important role minerals play in modern life. It will also explore topics such as rare earth minerals and their growing importance in technology and society.
