Stradbally Copper Coast Geopark Loop

This Cycle route brings you in a loop along a section of the Copper Coast Geopark.

The route takes in the picturesque and historical village of Stradbally, the secluded and dramatic cove of Stradbally beach, the woodlands of the river Tay and the edges of Dungarvan valley.

This cycle is entirely on road along mostly quiet and gently undulating local roads and is an introduction to the beautiful landscapes and villages found in this part of Waterford beyond the Greenway itself.

Traffic:

Generally light but can get busy during peak holiday season.

To Suit:

Suitable for people of medium levels of fitness.

Terrain:

Hilly, low gears recommended. Beautiful scenery with a mix of coastal and inland forest roads.

Minimum Gear:

Helmet, bike, mobile phone, fluid, snacks, waterproofs and a rucksack.

Some sections of the route or junctions on the route may be on regional roads. The roads on the route are undulating with some slopes requiring a reasonable level of effort to climb. Suitable for cyclists with a moderate level of fitness and experience cycling on public roads. Any sort of bike with a selection of gears would be suitable.
